Centre’s Nominated Charity
Centre Court Shopping Centre is delighted to be supporting Volunteer Centre Merton as our nominated charity for 2011/12. We look forward to helping the charity raise funds and awareness of their excellent work and contribution to the local community.
Volunteer Centre Merton work with a wide range of organisations in the public, voluntary and community sectors to develop and match the skills and interests of new volunteers to volunteering opportunities. They deliver good practice support to organisations involving volunteers in their work, and provide information and advice about volunteering alongside training for organisations and volunteers.

Provide information, advice and news about volunteering.
Help to find a volunteering role that matches your interests and set up appointments.
Hold training and support events for volunteers and organisations.
Help organisations fill volunteering vacancies, provide good practice support.
Offer ongoing suport to volunteers who are enduring or recovering mental distress or illness.
Manage the home visits library service, delivering books and audio tapes to elderly residents.
Have a youth action team for volunteers between 16-25.
